Fall Hair Ideas

If I haven’t already mentioned how much I love Fall, then let me remind you: I LOVE FALL!!!! I am getting my hair done tomorrow and have been perusing Pinterest (ps I love Pinterest too …. best website idea ever) for some Fall hair inspiration.  Here are some of my favorites so far:

Love the mixture of reds and browns. Also absolutely in love with the actual hair style too.

I really like the melted color look. I think this looks a lot better than the actual ombre (ombre is all one solid color on the bottom half of your hair, melted color is a mixture of colors to make it more natural)

I like that even though this is a lighter brown color, it still feels warm and perfect for Fall

Perfect chestnut brown

Warm red-brown

I wish my hair was this long and gorgeous. Good lord!

So those are my top “looks” and I am trying to figure out which route to take: go for the reds or stick with brown and get some warm golden highlights. Hmm….

What fall trends have you guys been enjoying so far??

My September Birchbox

It’s that time again! My September Birchbox reveal is upon us.

(Don’t know what Birchbox is? Check it out here

or check out my August Birchbox ! )

This month’s box was okay: nothing that screamed out as being fun, but everything that was in the box is actually something I will use, which is very nice.

Ruffian Nail Polish

Verdict: I actually really like this color. It is a tad bright, but it has an orange hue to it that will be perfect to wear for October.

Rikki Tikki was curious about it, too…

Yes to Blueberries Age Refresh Cleansing Facial Towelettes

Verdict: I was really happy to see this in my box, because this is something I’ve used before and I really liked it! It has a very faint scent and doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky. It’s perfect for when I’m too lazy to use my face wash to take my makeup off at night.

IMG_4669Amika Bombshell Blowout Spray

Verdict: I have yet to use this product, but I am sure it will be amazing because I have heard nothing but great things about Amika and their other hair products. This bottle was also pretty large (a bit taller than my whole hand) so it’s a great sample!

IMG_4670Yes to Grapefruit CC Cream Samples

Verdict: LOVE this product. Although it was just one more CC cream that I have received from Birchbox, this would actually be something I would purchase on my own.

Racinne Youth Power Eye Serum

Verdict: So far this feels really nice; I have been putting it on my under-eye area at night the last few nights. I haven’t turned back into my 22 year old self yet in the eye area, but I guess we’ll see! (Don’t we all wish…)

Overall, this box was definitely worth its 10.00 fee. If you want to sign up and join the BIrchbox fun, click here!

Have a great weekend, everyone.

I Want, I Need (Under $30!)

I’m a sucker for makeup sets: I would MUCH rather have more products to play around with in smaller sizes than spend $25-$30 on one product. (Mom, if you’re reading this here is A MAJOR CLUE)

How Do I …… ?

Use my Beauty Blender sponge?

FIll in my brows?

Well thanks to PopSugar Beauty they put together some of their awesome tutorial videos to help you out if you have had any of those questions (or more) !

Stitch Fix #2

IMG_4557My second Stitch Fix came in the mail today!

I was really excited to hurry and take photos because I can’t decide what items to keep! I feel like this box (compared to my first one) was filled with fun patterns and items that are perfect for transitioning into Fall weather and are also perfect to use for work. Also, I totally noticed that my stylist picked these pieces based off some of my newest pins on Pinterest, which just goes to show how awesome this service is.

So now I need your help … I don’t know what to keep!! I can only afford one or two of these, otherwise I would probably keep the whole box.

Want your own Fix? Click here!

So here we go!

First Item: Chris & Carol Priscilla Dot Print Sleeveless Blouse

Dot Print Sleeveless Blouse

Verdict: I really like this black and white blouse! I feel like I could wear it with so many different jackets, cardigans, etc. and it can be either dressed up or dressed down. I wore the pink jacket to see how it looked with a jacket, and I think it looked pretty good!

Here is the photo of the styling card as well:

Second Item: Fun2Fun Colibri Solid Tab-Sleeve Blouse in Green

Verdict: Um, I LOVE this color. I mentioned to my stylist, Melanie, that royal colors looked good on me so I wanted a few more of those in this fix. I also liked the top part of this top. Once again it can also be worn several ways … AGH, this decision is too hard.

Here is the style card:

Third Item: Just Black Amrita Ankle Length Jean in Burgandy

Verdict: So I loved the color and fit of these pants, but I feel like I liked the shirts better. Maybe I will request these again in a future box when I am in need of a new pair of pants. I really did like them though! They were the right amount of stretch and were very comfortable.

Fourth Item:  41 Hawthorn Square and Circle Gems Necklace

IMG_4563Verdict: LOVE the cobalt blue color of this necklace.  I love how these chunky and colorful necklaces are in style right now.

Fifth Item: Tulle Cora Swiss Dot Belted Skirt

Verdict: Okay, so this is one of those items that I would see at a store and not normally go for. But I think I really like it?! I can’t decide. I love how fun and different the fabric is, and it comes with a fabric belt that you can move around.  I have a really tiny waist and large hips, so I was scared this wouldn’t be flattering, but I think it actually isn’t too bad. I think if I would have thrown on a gray cardigan it would have helped to balance the outfit out. I can’t decide If i want to keep this though! What do you guys think?? There is a part of me that wants to fall in love with it because it is almost “vintagey” too ….

Also, here are the photos from my Pinterest page that I feel like my stylist used for inspiration:
